The Local History Photos: The Local History Collection includes images of historical interest for the Conejo Valley, and some nearby areas of Ventura County, from the 1890s to the present. These show historic buildings, ranches, commercial operations, land use, public events, and local pioneer families.
The News Chronicle Photos: The News Chronicle Collection contains more than 10,000 images of everyday life, special events, and other newsworthy occurences in the Conejo Valley from 1967 to 1994. These images were taken by staff photographers for the newspaper, and include negatives, slides, contact sheets and prints. Where possible, we have included the original caption for the photograph.

Unless otherwise noted, all photographs in the News Chronicle Collection are the property of the Thousand Oaks Library. Neither the original photographs nor the digital images in the catalog may be used on the Internet, published, or used in any other way without the expressed, written permission of either the Thousand Oaks Library or the Ventura County Star. Contact the Thousand Oaks Library for access to the original photographs or digital scans suitable for printing. One copy of the digital image in the catalog may be printed for personal use, including school reports. | About the Frank Knight Collection: Frank Knight was a professional photographer who worked in the Conejo Valley from the 1960s to 1980s. The Frank Knight Collection of photographic negatives was donated to the Thousand Oaks Library in 1984 by Mr. and Mrs. Knight. This collection contains primarily aerial views of the Conejo Valley in the 1960s, although it also includes many other areas in Ventura County. The collection also includes photographs of parades and other events from the 1960s. | |||||
